Proposed Material Alterations to
Proposed Variation No. 6 (Sallins Settlement Plan) of the
Kildare County Development Plan 2023-2029 (as varied)
Notice is hereby given, pursuant to Section 58 of the Planning and Development Act 2024 (as amended), that Kildare County Council has prepared modifications that constitute Proposed Material Alterations to Proposed Variation No. 6 (Sallins Settlement Plan) of the Kildare County Development Plan 2023-2029 (as varied).
In accordance with Section 58(13)(b) of the Planning and Development Act 2024 (as amended), it has been determined that a Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA) is not required to be carried out in respect of the Proposed Material Alterations of the Proposed Variation. In accordance with Section 58(13)(c) of the Planning and Development Act 2024 (as amended), it has been determined that an Appropriate Assessment (AA) is not required to be carried out in respect of the Proposed Material Alterations of the Proposed Variation.
In this regard, the following documents are published for inspection and public consultation:
· Proposed Material Alteration Report to Proposed Variation No. 6 (Sallins Settlement Plan) of the Kildare County Development Plan 2023-2029 (as varied), which contains the modifications that constitutes material alterations of the Proposed Variation.
· Strategic Environmental Assessment Screening Addendum Report pursuant to the Land Use Planning – Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA) Regulations 2025.
· A Strategic Environmental Assessment screening determination.
· Appropriate Assessment (AA) Screening Addendum Report pursuant to the EU Habitats Directive (92/43/EEC).
· An Appropriate Assessment screening determination.
A copy of the Proposed Material Alterations to Proposed Variation No. 6 (Sallins Settlement Plan) of the Kildare County Development Plan 2023-2029 (as varied), and associated documents will be available for public inspection during normal opening hours from Tuesday, 4 August 2026 until 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, 1 September 2026 at the following locations:
· On the online public consultation portal at: http://consult.kildarecoco.ie/en.
· Planning Department, Kildare County Council, at the address below.
Written submissions with respect to the Proposed Material Alterations to Proposed Variation No. 6 (Sallins Settlement Plan) of the Kildare County Development Plan 2023-2029 (as varied), and associated documents, may be made within the above period and before 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, 1 September 2026.
