Kildare County Council, on behalf of Glas Civil Engineering, gives notice in accordance with Section 75 of the Roads Act, 1993 and the Roads Regulations, 1994 that it will close the following road for two consecutive nights only between the dates Saturday, 22 August 2026 to Saturday, 5 September 2026 to facilitate the resurfacing of the junction of Mill Street, Parson Street, Leinster Street and Main Street, Maynooth.

Alternative Routes: Eastbound on R148: end Vehicles take a left on the R148 onto the L1012 Moyglare Road for 300m then turn right at traffic lights onto the L10112 Mariavilla Way Road then continue on for 800m and turn right on the L1013 Dunboyne Road, continue for 500m to the junction of the R148 Main Street where the diversion ends. Westbound on R148: Vehicles take a left on the R148 Main Street onto the L1013 Dunboyne Road continue for 500m to the junction of the L10112 Mariavilla Way Road, turn left and continue for 800m to the junction of the L1012 Moyglare Road, turn left and continue for 300m to the junction of the R148 Mill street where the diversion ends. Vehicles travelling on R408 Parson Street: Vehicles on Parson Street will be diverted to the R148 Main Street via the R408 Newtown Road and the L50535/L1022 Meadowbrook Road to the R148 Straffan Road. |

Diversionary routes will be clearly signposted, as agreed with the Council and An Garda Síochána. Emergency access and restricted local access will be maintained.

All submissions must be made on or before on or before 5:00 p.m. Friday, 31 July 2026.
