Notice of the Making of Variation No. 6 (Sallins Settlement Plan) of the Kildare County Development Plan 2023-2029 (as varied)
Notice is hereby given pursuant to Section 58(18) of the Planning and Development Act 2024 (as amended) that, at a Special Plenary Meeting on Monday, 12 October 2026, Kildare County Council resolved to make Variation No. 6 (Sallins Settlement Plan) of the Kildare County Development Plan 2023-2029 (as varied).
The Variation provides a Settlement Plan for Sallins to replace the Sallins Local Area Plan 2016-2022. The Settlement Plan provides a planning policy framework for Sallins to guide the future sustainable development of the town. The Settlement Plan aligns with the overarching plan hierarchy which has been set at national, regional and county level.
From the date of this notice, a copy of the development plan and variation are available for inspection on the Council’s website https://kildarecoco.ie/AllServices/Planning/DevelopmentPlans/ and, during ordinary office hours, at Áras Chill Dara, at the address below.
