Kildare County Council, on behalf of GMC Utilities Group Ltd, gives notice in accordance with Section 75 of the Roads Act, 1993 and the Roads Regulations, 1994 that it intends to close the following roads on Tuesday, 6 October 2026 to Wednesday, 7 October 2026 to facilitate a wastewater connection on behalf of Uisce Éireann.

Alternative Routes: Via Prosperous Road Traffic approaching Ballinagappa from the L1023 should turn right onto Ballinagappa Road. Continue to the junction with the R407 and turn right onto Prosperous Road (R403). Travel straight along the R403 until reaching the junction with Firmount Road. Turn right/keep right, then turn left and continue towards Ballinagappa. Via Firmount Road Traffic approaching Ballinagappa from Firmount Road should continue to the junction with Prosperous Road (R403). Turn left onto the R403 and continue to the junction with the R407. Continue to the junction with Ballinagappa Road (L1023) and turn left. Proceed to the junction of Ballinagappa/Ballinagappa Road, then turn left and continue into Ballinagappa.

Diversionary routes will be clearly signposted, as agreed with the Council and An Garda Síochána. Emergency access and restricted local access will be maintained.
