Kerdiffstown Park is located in Naas, Co. Kildare. Following a 2.5-year construction programme (2020 –  2023), this exciting project remediated the former Kerdiffstown Landfill into a 30 – hectare multi-use public park.

Using the latest proven land management practices and sustainable construction techniques, these works transformed the former landfill site into a fantastic public amenity to be used and enjoyed by locals and visitors alike, for generations to come.

Safety remains our top priority at Kerdiffstown Park.  An ongoing environmental management programme continues to be implemented to ensure the protection of public health and the local environment.

An extraction system at Kerdiffstown Park collects any gas from the waste body at multiple underground locations and brings it to a central controlled location where it is safely disposed.

An underground pipework network (of approx. 45kms) is also in place and collects any remaining liquid at the site. This involved the construction of a pipeline system underneath the N7 which brings the collected material to Oberstown Wastewater Treatment Plant for treatment.

These measures ensure that Kerdiffstown Park can be enjoyed by the local community and visitors now and into the future.
