Kildare County Council Announce Local Enhancement Programme 2026 Recipients
Kildare County Council and Kildare Local Community Development Committee are pleased to announce the successful applicants under the Local Enhancement Programme 2026.
A total of sixty-four successful community and voluntary groups and organisations across Kildare will share funding of €246,667.65 to support small scale capital and equipment costs.
The funding will support a wide range of community-led projects across the county, including improvements to community facilities, sensory supports, storage, equipment and renovation works. Examples of projects supported under the Local Enhancement Programme 2026 include:
- Curragh Family Resource Centre, which will receive €7,425.18 towards storage, chairs, painting and repairs.
- Rathangan Community Association, which will receive €8,715.07 towards toys and materials for a sensory room.
- Ballyna Rural Enterprise Development Association Ltd (B.R.E.D.A), which will receive €3,859 towards floor renovation works.

The Local Enhancement Programme is funded by the Department of Rural and Community Development and the Gaeltacht. It supports community groups, organisations and centres located in areas of disadvantage, as well as those with a clear remit to provide services to people who are most socially excluded.
